Metallica in Concert
The biggest band in the world visited Bogota the last 10 of March. The best concert of the whole year was totally full of energy. The tickets to the first locality in the event were sold out 2 hours after they start to sell them. The older fans were anxious because they have been waiting for this concert since 1999. Around 40,000 people assisted to the concert and some fans waited in the surrounds of the park some days before to get a good place in the concert. The first band which opened the event was Deep Trip, the public didn’t like their hardcore style and they shout them to get out. Metallica, in their international tour, had take a band with them called Mastodon that was perfect to open the concert with a progressive metal style that help the public to enter in the ambient. The concert started and the place was full of a euphoric feeling. The night was full of songs from their new album “Death Magnetic” like Cyanide but also played the songs that made them famous such as: “Seek and Destroy”, “Hit the Lights”, “One” , “Fade to Black”, “Enter Sandman”, “Blackened”, “Ride the Lightning”, “Nothing Else Matters” and “Master of Puppets” The emotion of the fans was perfectly shown when they started to play Cyanide and the some fans started to cry, the whole audience shout aloud the chorus along with the band of some of their songs. The park was shaking along with the notes of Enter Sandman, For Whom the bell Tolls Master of Puppets. The localities were divided in three: One, The Unforgiven and Enter Sandman. One was the nearest to the band, it was followed by the Unforgiven and at the last one was Enter Sandman.
